Vicksburg police officer Eddie Colbert was suspended for 15 days and put on probation for 45 days following the release of a video that showed him slapping and pulling a suspect to the ground.
The video also showed him putting his knee on the suspect’s back.
The officer must take an anger management course as well.
“There was some protocol used that is a training technique, but I think he used it excessively,” Vicksburg Mayor George Flaggs said. “He didn’t have to use it.”
