Tom Cruise was so impressed by Ohio State University’s Marching Band’s tribute to the movie “Top Gun” during its hafltime show for the Purdue game on November 13.
He offered a special shout-out to the marching band via Twitter.
“Dear Band, The Top Gun tribute was fantastic. What a phenomenal performance,” the message from the 59-year-old actor began.
It ended with an invitation for the band to see a special screening in Columbus of the sequel to the movie that has been years in the making.
“Top Gun: Maverick” is due to be released in May, 36 years after the original movie.
