Meat Loaf dies at 74 due to COVID complications

The larger-than-life singer, Meatloaf, whose bombastic rock opera “Bat Out of Hell” is one of the best-selling albums of all time, has died (74), according to the statement on the singers verified Facebook page.

“Our hearts are broken to announce that the incomparable Meat Loaf passed away tonight with his wife Deborah by his side,” stated the post.

“Daughters Pearl and Amanda and close friends have been with him throughout the last 24 hours.”

Meat Loaf’s agent, Michael Greene, confirmed his death to news outlets. He was having complications from COVID-19.
 
Numerous tributes outpoured for the rock musician whose career spanned six decades.
