Jamie Spears is asking for more money according to Britney Spear’s laywer. Reports have surfaced saying that the conservatorship was a huge money grab by Jamie.
Mathew Rosengart said “The conservatorship has been terminated and Mr. Spears was suspended ignominiously. Under the circumstances, his petition is not only legally meritless. It is an abomination. Britney poignantly testified about the pain her father caused her and this only adds to it. This is not what a father who loves his daughter does.”
Jamie Spears wants Britney’s estate to pay for his legal fees according to filed legal docs.
All of this is occurring right after a New York Times report alleging that Jamie received a $40,000 loan from Britney’s ex-business manager, Tri Star Sports and Entertainment early on. According to the report, Jamie received $6 million from Britney’s estate and Tri Star benefited millions.
Alex Weingarten, Jamie’s lawyer, states that all expenses were made with court approval.
A hearing on some of the issues is scheduled for next month.
